LP! PROJECT RESOURCES
Guides provide in-depth material to help professionals and families as they participate in the assessment, selection, acquisition and use of AT with young children. Input from families, administrators and providers of services to young children help to inform the development of the guides. Among the topics that are addressed are: AT decision making, creating child-specific AT plans, the acquisition process, and AT evaluation.
Fact Sheets are short, introductory resources on a variety of topics related to assistive technology use with young children. They highlight key information on AT laws and definitions, categories of AT use, universal design, and a range of other subjects. They also provide examples of ways in which AT can make it easier for children with disabilities to participate in everyday routines and activities.
The Let's Participate! video series is designed to meet the information needs of early intervention specialists, preschool teachers and aides, and family members in participating LP sites. The videos support just-in-time learning, ongoing professional and personal development, and virtual coaching. High quality, relevant videos from nationally-recognized sources will be added to the videos produced by LP staff.
AT planning documents support a methodical approach in which participant roles are clearly defined, steps are described in detail, and consideration checklists ensure that no important questions or issues have been overlooked.
AT-FIT team members and the families with whom they work will have the opportunity to participate in both on-site and online training workshops and events. These include: Awareness Workshops, Implementation Workshops, Webinars, Learning Modules, and online coaching.
