Implementing the Model
Let’s Participate! efforts resulted in increased use of AT, higher numbers of children with disabilities actively participating in their daily routines & activities, improved service provider/teacher/family knowledge and confidence in using AT, and more. In order to find similar outcomes, it is necessary to implement all of the essential elements of the model.
AT Policies and Procedures
Find listed below some example policy/procedure documents the LP team developed to guide project implementation. Feel free to download and modify these documents to better suit your program’s needs.
The Let’s Participate! project evaluation included surveys to gather information on project progress and satisfaction with the project over time. Follow-up surveys with service providers and teachers collected input on AT use after acquisition. A pre-post survey with service providers and preschool teachers enabled us to examine any change in AT knowledge and confidence from the start of the project to the end. We also used an annual satisfaction survey to gather feedback and suggestions from team members. Feel free to use all or part of these survey instruments or tailor them to gather the feedback most important to your program/team.
